Rosemarie Lambert MA. MSc. PG Dip.

Rosemarie holds a Master’s Degree in English Language Teaching (MA ELT), a Master’s degree in Corporate Communication (MSc Corp. Comm.) and a Postgraduate Diploma in English Language Teaching, which gives her a unique insight into the academic and linguistic demands that may be placed on students in a range of subject areas: Business & Management (including International Management), Law, Advertising, Media, Information Management, Hospitality Management,  Human Resource Management, Marketing.

As the Field Leader for Leadership & Change in the West London Business School (Faculty of Professional Studies) at the University of West London (UWL), Rosemarie was academically responsible for all the undergraduate business related degrees and externally accredited professional programmes within the School together with the entire portfolio of English language and Study Skills/Strategies modules and programmes, which she designed, developed and had validated (including undergraduate and postgraduate feeder programmes such as the International Foundation Diploma, Pre-Masters, Pre-Sessionals UG and PG). In recognition of the academic needs of many of the diverse student groups at the university, Rosemarie developed a coherent and fit for purpose set of modules and programmes to give students the skills to benefit from studies of other specific disciplines, which enhanced both the individual student experience and the vibrancy of the general academic environment.

In 2008, Rosemarie was commissioned by the University to develop and validate a Foundation Degree (FdA) in Enterprise & Entrepreneurship: Business Start-Up because of her business/entrepreneurial activities outside of the University. She was also the University’s representative on the committee for Ealing Chamber of commerce.

A continuing engagement with both University and Faculty committees/boards has honed Rosemarie’s understanding of university processes and procedures, including Quality Assurance and Enhancement, which has led to successful Periodic Review engagements.

Rosemarie’s past experience extends to being an External at a prominent London university as well as advising the Ministry of Education of an EU country on UK Quality Assurance frameworks with a view to implementing a systematic approach in their Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This gave her the opportunity to make a professional contribution not only in another institution, but also in another country. It has also allowed her to make valuable contacts in the sector, which has now extended to a wide range of universities across the UK and the EU.

In recent years, Rosemarie has acted as a staff development consultant for major international companies, including the delivery of in-house Personal and Professional Development programmes to senior managers.

Being an experienced chair person of validations, as well as developing and validating a wide range of programmes at the University of West London, has given Rosemarie a comprehensive understanding of curriculum development, meeting protocols, working within defined and regulatory frameworks, managing groups of people with disparate interests through complex processes and finding creative solutions to complex problems.
